Overview

This year’s meeting, “The Power of Teamwork,” focuses on integrating new products into the practice and significantly enhancing patient satisfaction with the iBraces Appliance System. The meeting program blends lectures with hands-on workshops to give your team the tools necessary to successfully incorporate this unique appliance system into your practice.

Again this year, you have the chance to win $5,000 in the “Wire Ligation Showdown.” Doctors and staff members who attend will earn 16 CE credits. Saturday afternoon staff can choose between team building activities. Choices include: 6th Floor Museum tour (Kennedy Memorial), Neiman Marcus (flagship store) shopping tour or the McKinney Avenue trolley car tour.

With a roster of featured speakers who bring a wealth of industry experience and insight, the 2008 Power of Teamwork Annual Users Meeting promises to be an invaluable, educational event. Speakers this year include:

Fred Haise, Apollo 13 Astronaut – Key Note Speaker
Fred Haise was a member of the ill-fated but heroic Apollo 13 Mission. His successful return to Earth is a historic example of how training, discipline and teamwork can accomplish miracles. You’ve seen the movie, now meet the real-life hero who survived this unbelievable flight to later command the maiden voyage of the space shuttle Enterprise. His 20-year career with NASA earned him many honors including The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Haley Astronautics Award, and the Aerospace Walk of Honor. Fred’s compelling story is one you won’t soon forget.

Lea Nesbit - Lingualcare President and Co-Founder
Lea Nesbit founded Lingualcare after three years with OraMetrix, a healthcare technology company focused on the orthodontic space. At OraMetrix, Lea served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales. As a member of the OraMetrix executive management team, Lea managed marketing, business development, sales, customer service, installation and training. In addition, she was successful in helping the company to raise $20M in equity financing.

Ruedger Rubbert - New Technology Demonstration
Ruedger Rubbert has more than 20 years of experience inventing new technologies and managing technology delivery and manufacturing organizations. He is a principal and founder of Lingualcare. Prior to Lingualcare, Mr. Rubbert founded OraMetrix, an orthodontic technology company, where he served as CTO and General Manager. He was a primary inventor of many of OraMetrix's key technologies and served as principal leader of the company's research and development efforts. Mr Rubbert has authored more than 20 technology patents.

Dr. Dirk Wiechmann — Advanced Clinical Workshop
Dr. Dirk Wiechmann is the principal inventor of the first completely individualized lingual bracket system, iBraces/Incognito. He has published numerous articles in scientific journals on the theme of lingual orthodontics and held many conferences worldwide. In his private practice in Bad Essen, Germany, he has more than 300 lingual patients in active treatment. He is a faculty staff member at Hannover Medical School in Hannover, Germany. He is also the Scientific Director of the post-graduate program in lingual orthodontics at Paris Diderot University. Since 2006, he has been an Honorary Associate Professor on the faculty of dentistry at the University of Hong Kong.

Cathy Sundvall — Staff Education and Training
Cathy Sundvall currently serves as a Practice Enhancement Consultant and iBraces Clinical Trainer. Ms. Sundvall worked for more than 20 years as a Clinical Supervisor and New Patient Coordinator for Dr. John R. ‘Bob’ Smith in Orlando, Florida. Ms. Sundvall has combined her practice management and clinical expertise to consult and train practices in the areas of clinical efficiency, new patient process, marketing, customer service, and team performance. She lectures nationally, has published numerous articles and developed training manuals for marketing, new patient process and office policies.

Angelo SuitorAngelo Suitor - Change Management Seminar
Angelo Suitor, 3M Unitek, Angelo has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Minnesota. Angelo has held various engineering roles at 3M including Process Research Engineer and Resident Project Engineer.
